Mingalabar and welcome to Myanmar! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide who will take you to your hotel for check-in (note: check-in time is 14.00. Early check-in is subject to availability).

Drive to the chaotic Indian quarter, Shri Satyanarayan Temple. Visit the Shwe Bon Tha Street with other Hindu temples, also known as the center of Indian activity in Yangon. You can see the daily lives of the Hindu community here.

No Myanmar expedition can be considered truly great if it’s lacking a visit to the legendary Shwedagon Pagoda. Ready for an amazing experience? The visual delights present there alone, are worth the trip. Witness the colors transform on the 100-meter chedi which is literally enclosed in over 40 tons of gold leaf. You will start at the eastern staircase where you will find a row of shops at the base of the temple selling various religious items. Here you will find monks robes, alms bowls, offerings, incense, and other unique Buddhist objects. As you browse the stalls your guide will explain the use and rituals of Myanmar’s Buddhist people. Shwedagon is largely considered to be the most important religious site for the Burmese; most visitors report that the trip is extremely memorable and still etched into their minds.

Back to the hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Thanlyin (aka Syriam) was once a trade haven during the late 16th century and early 17th century for the infamous Portuguese explorer Philip De Brito; and its garish atmosphere offers numerous activities. The aged structures stand as confirmation of the previous Portuguese occupation. There is even a 270-meter long bridge straddling the Bago River that is accessible via a 45-minute drive from Yangon.

Start after breakfast with a short journey to Thanlyin (app. 30-40 minutes) and visit the Thanlyin market, where an excellent selection of fresh fruits and vegetables fill the stalls. The colors, sounds, and the smell of this market will excite your senses. Carry on to Kyaik Khauk Pagoda which is positioned on the top of the hill and is also discernible for miles around. With just a short 30 minute drive from Thanlyin, you will arrive at to Kyauk Tan, the seat of the celebrated Yele Pagoda which rests in the middle of the Hlaing River. You can only get here by boat; the Yele Pagoda is a serene sanctuary, where many guests buy popcorn previous to their 3-minute boat journey from the shoreline to the Pagoda. Feel free to feed the fish surrounding this holy place of worship.

Finally, we will transfer back to your hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

From your hotel, it’s off to the Pansodan Jetty to get on a local, two-deck ferry in order to cross the Yangon River to Dhala, a charming low-lying township. Since Dhala does not have a direct bridge to Yangon, the ferry is the main mode of commuting and thus the area around the jetty- and the boat itself!- is an extremely vibrant market where many locals come to do their trading and sell snacks and other items to the ferry passengers.

Upon disembarking the boat in Dhala you will travel by trishaw throughout the town, which includes a visit to the colorful local market, Buddhist temples and rural neighborhoods with plenty of opportunities to interact with the local residents. This trip is an absolute pleasure for people that like to take lots of photos, it is chock-full of beautiful scenery and amazing splendor.

Have a drink on the terrace of the local tea shop at the jetty and watch the action while you take in the historical skyline of Yangon which has not changed in decades. Return to Yangon by boat around midday.

In the afternoon, you will transfer back to Yangon Airport for your international flight. Meals on your own. End of services!

A wonderful trip to Cambodia and Vietnam for 10 ni / 11 days with my wife was made possible by Vietnamtour.in. They planned and customised the trip as per our specific requirements and made it a memorable life long experience. We started from Siem Reap - Cambodia, followed by Ho Chi Minh city, Danang- Hoian, Hanoi, Halong Bay in Vietnam. Visa on arrival at both the country was simple process as initial documentations were already done by Vietnamtour. At each of these places, we were received by the tour guide and driver with excellent SUV carrying a name playcard giving a feeling of grandiose. Our accommodation was in 5 star Hotels - Angkor Miracle Resort in Siem Reap, Novotel Saigon in HCM city, Sunrise Premium Resorts & Spa in Hoian, Movenpick in Hanoi and La Regina Legend Cruise in Halong Bay. Trips to the monuments, tourist attractions or shopping requirements were meticulously planned and taken care of by them. The memories and experiences of the Mekong River boat cruise and the cruise on Halong Bay will be treasured by us all our lives. We got a taste of the authentic, traditional local cuisine in both the countries when we were taken for lunch to local houses . Its worth experiencing the simplicity, great hospitality and family values of common inhabitants. Our entire experience of 11 days was made possible by the sincerity, dedication, hard work and meticulous planning by an individual... Mr Trung Hoang, our Travel Consultant. He was always available to us on mob / W/A from the time of planning till we returned home. It gave us a sense of security in a foreign country without knowing the local language for any unforeseen situation. We are extremely thankful to him . Lovely Experience, Wonderful People, Great Hospitality is what we shall always remember. THANK YOU Vietnam Tours, our friends in those two unknown country Mr Trung Vũ Hoàng and the Wonderful people of Cambodia and Vietnam.

Had a very pleasant and satisfying trip with excellent cooperation from vietnamtour.in staff. The English speaking guides seem quite knowledgeable and organizers always care for comfort. Although we personally take all types of meat under the sun the organizer always serves us Hindu meal. Definitely worth the expenses and we would strongly recommend people particularly from Kolkata to participate.

Yes, you can. But you will need to add the single supplement to have a single room throughout your trip.

A Response from Seni World 02/09/2017

Yes, you can. Most hotels have triple room but it is often arranged by higher category as the room will be larger. Depending on your requirement and hotel situation, we will choose the suitable category for triple room.

A Response from Seni World 01/02/2018

>> 7 Things South African Tourists Should Remember Before Going to Vietnam

A Response from Seni World 22/12/2018

There are two available methods for passport holders from South Africa to choose to apply for a visa to Vietnam. You can either apply for your visa at the local embassy or obtain a visa on arrival with a visa letter.

You need to have a passport which is effective for at least 6 months beyond arrival date, 2 photos 4x6 and 2 blank pages on it for visa stamp (which costs 25$) and a visa letter. When you book tours with vietnamtour.co.za, we will offer a visa letter for free.

A Response from Seni World 11/10/2017

Officially, no vaccination is compulsory for traveling in these 5 countries, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand or Myanmar. However, visitors are recommended to be updated with major vaccinations against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, hepatitis A and B, and typhoid fever.

As no anti-malaria vaccination exists nowadays, your doctor will often recommend a course of tablets for travelers visiting mountains and remote places. Please note some medications are required to be commenced up to 3 weeks prior to departure. We always recommend you check this with your local GP/Doctor. However, keeping in mind that Malaria treatment is a heavy treatment, in lieu of such treatment, we recommend you to dress with long shirt and trousers, apply anti-mosquito repellent during the whole day (day and night).
